"Nerves are good"

Promiseland at Le Bain NYC x NY ALT FASHION GALA (feat. Pictureplane)

Johann Rashid, AKA Promiseland, was nicknamed “The Future Prince of Anarchy” by Cult Records label boss Julian Casablancas. Prophecy foretold he is now infamous for hanging off pipes, balconies and whatever semi-mountable objects find themselves in his storm track.

He is the most assured dude in the room at all times. The Promiseland project itself synonymous with confidence in performance.
In truth, though, Rashid is nervous before every single show. He explains “nerves are good. Nerves are something you should embrace."
At NYC's Le Bain to celebrate the NY Alt Fashion Gala, Promiseland holds his fears tight delivering a physical and visceral solo performance amid DJ sets by Orson, Pictureplane, and wave.89.
