Susannah Joffe plays Mazzy Star inspired diss track “Cult Leader” and cannibalistic love song “Omophagia”
“It’s definitely a song that is going to probably get me in a little bit of trouble socially,” laughs Susannah Joffe about her Mazzy Star inspired diss track "Cult Leader."
We stopped by producer Ben Coleman's studio to hear them play "Cult Leader" — the title track off her recent EP — live in the same room the song was originally recorded. Followed by "Omophagia," a self-described "cannibalistic love song."
Based in Brooklyn via Texas, Joffe writes deeply personal songs that are catchy, heartbreaking and sexy as hell.
The depth of her body of work thus far combined with her audience who knows it solidifies her as a true leader of the current NYC music scene.
